The 3d print wasn't part of the ask, I thought it would be fun.

OAM Hardware Render

RainAI recently contacted me with an urgent request for concept renders of their upcoming hardware: an OCP Accelerator Module. They needed the images for a presentation the next day and needed a reliable, fast artist for the job. They could provide no existing art assets, no models, and no CAD; only a written description of their die and the open hardware specification standard they're building it on.

It took me six hours to finish, including revisions and spec changes. I had it done before EOB. I started by modeling the OAM standard's brackets, then went into KiCad and mocked up a plausible power delivery circuit around those brackets. The presentation made it clear that this was just a concept, but I still wanted to make it realistic. I then imported the KiCad file into Blender and modeled the rest of the module including the main processor and logo.

The next day, I had some spare capacity on my 3d printers, so just for fun I lightly modified the model and printed it. Not good enough to use in an investor meeting, but I know for a fact the lead engineer will love to have it on his desk.
